Steve Testa, Realtor® Steve Testa Steve moved here in 1990 after spending eight years in San Diego, California. Steve served in the Navy for four years, achieving the rank of Lieutenant and serving onboard the USS Durham (LKA-114). He is currently a Captain in the Navy Reserve and is one of the Emergency Preparedness Liaison Officer’s for the state of Florida. After Steve got off active duty in 1986 he joined an aerospace company in San Diego. It was in San Diego that Steve and his wife Dana’s first daughter was born. Soon after, he had the opportunity to move to the Cocoa Beach / Merritt Island area in 1990. The environment, excellent schools and family atmosphere are what attracted Steve and his wife to the Brevard area. Steve joined an aerospace firm that performed launch processing for the Space Shuttle. In 1993 Steve and Dana became proud parents a second time. Today he has two daughter’s attending schools here in Brevard.
In his community volunteer activity, Steve served on the North Merritt Island Zoning Review Board (which reports to the County Commission Zoning Board) for two years where he became very familiar with growth and how it affects the Brevard County area. He pursued this to help manage the growth while maintaining the beauty of North Merritt Island.
Born in Arlington Texas, Steve is no stranger to the hustle and bustle of moving. His father worked on Army helicopters and he had the opportunity to live overseas, as well as, Ft. Rucker, Alabama; St. Louis, Missouri; Denton, Texas; Newport, Rhode Island; and San Diego, California.
Steve, Graduated from North Texas State University with a bachelors degree in Physics and later achieved a Masters of Science in Systems Management from the University of Southern California, and a Masters in Space Systems from the Florida Institute of Technology.
One of the many jobs of a real estate agent is keeping track of the details from contract negotiation, appraisals, surveys, to title insurance and closing. With extensive experience in the aerospace field as a Space Shuttle systems engineer Steve knows the importance of details.
